Cody’s approach to counseling is adaptive to meet the specific concerns and needs of each of his clients – he draws skills and techniques from a variety of theoretical frameworks, including cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and existential therapy.
Prior to working at HTG, Cody worked for several years as a campus counselor at both Knox College and Eureka College, helping students manage and navigate challenging life transitions as well as mental health struggles. He also has experience in a community mental health setting where he provided therapy for a wide range of clients and concerns.
Cody is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Bradley University.
