Leigh has her bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language interpreting & early childhood education from Columbia College Chicago. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Concordia University Chicago. She has many years of experience working with and supporting families of children with medical complexities as well as emotional and behavioral health challenges. Leigh also worked as an applied behavior analysis therapist working with children and adults with autism, Down syndrome, and other communication disorders.
Leigh provides therapy to children ages 2 – 22 as well as parent support and coaching. She uses Jungian play therapy, art, sand tray, and mindfulness with children to help them gain a better understanding and acceptance of themselves. Leigh also uses somatic techniques to aid in strengthening the mind – body connection. Leigh believes that parents and other caregivers are a vital piece in a child’s healing and continued progress throughout life. Leigh connects with parents to provide individualized support, coaching, and other tools for success.
In her free time, Leigh enjoys being in nature, being with her dogs, and spending time with family.
