She has over a decade of experience in the field working with diverse populations and experiences. One of Colleen's specialties is Autism Spectrum disorders. She works with individuals with Autism as well as with parents who have a child with this diagnosis and need support.
Before working at HTG, Colleen practiced in many crisis settings. These experience include working at Screening, Assessment and Support Services (SASS) assessing adolescents for suicidal ideation, a methadone clinic, and a domestic violence agency. She earned her Masters in Social Work Degree from Loyola University.
Colleen is empathetic and believes in the Holistic approach to treatment, treating the mind, body, and spirit. She believes that each person has the power to heal themselves, but may need guidance along the way to accomplish their goals. Colleen modifies her approach to fit the needs of each individual and starts with a strengths based, client centered approach.
